UpCake 2.0 is a whimsical new Android app that has been created for girls ages eight to 18 as a fun way to stimulate focus and increase attention span. UpCake 2.0 is a re-conceptualization of UpCake 1.0, which was released in March of 2011 as the world’s first neuro game for girls. This latest version engages players even further with 10 new levels; each more visually and mentally compelling than the last.
By playing through these levels, the user is able create a number of different cupcakes using only the power of her mind! From the mixing stage, through to the final decorations, she is able to completely direct and control the outcome of each project for a final piece that is not just beautiful, but has exercised her capacity for focus in every day life.
UpCake 2.0 uses the NeuroSky MindWave Mobile headset to collect data from small electrical impulses emanating from the scalp. UpCake 2.0 then interprets the specific impulses that indicate concentration and attention to drive user’s advances through the game’s many levels.

Transcend gives users real feedback about the quality of their meditation, using actual neurofeedback.
Transcend not only aids in the learning of effective meditation, but allows users to track and improve meditation practices over time by reporting the quality and duration of the user’s meditation, as well as other helpful metrics. Using these metrics, Transcend can tell when a user is successfully achieving meditative states regularly or whether a user may benefit from an alternative form of meditation. By measuring and recording meditative states, a user can track his or her progress and receive confirmation that practice is effective.
Unlike other meditation apps available today, Transcend directly measures neural activity and takes into account the different ways that people meditate. There are meditation guides for users new to the practice, or users looking to try a different style.
